Water

The water card in the diary counts plain water plus the drinks already in your diary — tea, coffee, milk, juice. Water tracking is on paid plans.

How water is counted

The Water card in the diary shows one total for the day:

  • Plain water — what you add with the card's buttons or ask Mira to log.
  • Drinks from your diary — tea, coffee, milk, kefir, juice, soft drinks, smoothies and other drinks you logged as food. They are added automatically, one to one: 250 ml of coffee is 250 ml toward water. Open the card to see the list.

Not counted: alcohol, and food — soup included. The daily goal already assumes part of your water comes from food, so it is a goal for what you drink.

To change or delete a drink, edit it in its meal like any other food.

Your own products and recipes

A product or recipe you created yourself counts toward water only when it is marked This is a drink. If yours doesn't count, open it — in Products (marked Your item) or in Recipes — tap Edit, tick This is a drink and save. The same box is on the form when you create one. Products and recipes Mira creates for you, she marks herself.

Products from the shared catalogue are already marked — nothing to do there.

Your own buttons

The card has three quick buttons — 250 ml, 500 ml and 1 L by default. To set the sizes you actually drink from, open Personal → Water per day → Water buttons. Leave a field empty to keep its default.

The first button is your glass: when you tell Mira "a glass of water", she logs that amount.

With Mira

Tell Mira how much plain water you drank — "a glass of water", "half a litre of water" — and she adds it to the day. Name any other drink as food ("a latte", "a glass of kefir") and it counts toward water automatically.

If you don't track water

You don't have to. On a day with no plain water logged, the daily and weekly analysis and Mira say nothing about water. The water reminder can be turned off separately — see Notifications.

Goal

The daily goal is set on the Personal page, from 500 to 5000 ml.

Free plan

On the free plan the water card is locked and Mira cannot log water.
