Saving diary changes

Where to find the save button on mobile and what the yellow banner at the top means.

The diary does not auto-save changes. This is intentional, so you can change your mind, edit, or remove a product without immediate consequences.

How to save on mobile

On mobile, the save button is a small checkmark ✓ in the top-right corner of the diary header, next to the date. Once you are done making changes, simply tap it.

The yellow banner at the top

If you changed something but have not saved it yet, an orange banner with “Unsaved changes” appears at the top. It is a reminder that the data has not been written yet.

Tap the banner — the page will scroll up, and the checkmark will briefly pulse with orange ripples to show where to tap.

How to save on desktop

On wider screens, the header shows a full “Save” button — it is easy to spot.

When you actually need to save

  • After manually editing a product’s grams.
  • After removing a product from a meal.
  • After entering body measurements or weight.
  • After changing the amount of water you drank.

If Mira added the food — by voice, barcode, or text — those entries are saved immediately. You do not need to press “Save” separately.
